Drake Journalism & Mass Communication Day

Create your future in Drake's SJMC! This special visit program is designed for high school seniors and transfer students interested in the School of Journalism & Mass Communication (SJMC) and their families.

Sessions will include an SJMC Overview, faculty interactions, student and alumni panel, simulation, parent session, facilities tours and a “behind the scenes” tour of an ESPN live broadcast. 

Optional sessions include an Admission Overview at 9 AM and Campus Tour at 9:15 AM prior to the visit program and the Drake Women's Basketball game vs. Valparaiso University at 2 PM after the visit program. Complimentary tickets to the Drake Women’s Basketball game in the Knapp Center at 2 PM will be provided for the student and family members who select this option on the registration form.
